Deborah Finco and Ariel Kent, the Connecticut and Rhode Island TWHBEA trails initiative representatives sponsored a “Forging Partnerships” trail ride on June 7th in conjunction with the Connecticut Horse Council, Inc. The 10 mile trail ride was held at Pachaug State Forest in Voluntown, Connecticut. The weather was great and after the trail ride everyone enjoyed lunch at the Frog Hollow horse camp. Twenty riders participated in this Inaugural event.
Members of the CT horse council, New England Horse Trails Association and other horse owners participated. Although the Tennessee Walker is not common in New England and we were the only walker owner, this was a great opportunity to showcase the TWH to others.
